Celebrating the New Year, the extreme coldness welcomed London Fashion Week Men’s AW 18/19. Even though the London weather was still severe, it wasn’t enough to deter the snazzy crowd who came all the way to attend this prestigious celebration of men’s fashion. That is why our team felt so compelled to see the show as it guaranteed that we were going to see people in unique styles on each street we walked along toward the show venue. And that, we assumed, was just how everyone one else felt, all of them heading to London Fashion Week Men’s.
London might not be the best place to enjoy good weather, but obviously it is a holy ground to enjoy every piece of street style. The way people dressed was audacious. We could joyfully observe them in big fur coats matched with sneakers or bundled up with an exaggerated parka. Londoners never play safe when it comes to styling. They are willing to mix and match whatever they think is cool, which is just incomparable. A lot of social media influencers, buyers, models, bloggers appeared in the show venue, strutting their style and ripping the tags off their brand-new winter duds and bags.
Amongst them, we were particularly delighted to meet the renowned Chinese actor Hu Bing at the showroom venue. He is truly a man of many talents whose career ranges from model and singer to BFC Ambassador. He dressed up in a smart dark navy coat with belt tied up around the waist while strolling in the venue. At the Bobby Abley show, he turned up in a studded black leather jacket and smart suit trousers, which was mobbed by photographers.
It was great to see founder of the Young Guidance and model of Toni & Guy AW18 campaign, Alex Guiste, wearing Emily Clark graduate pieces, and carrying handmade GOFEFE black leather bag together with Since Wang, Managing Director of Fashion Crossover London on the front row of the Bobby Abley show.
It was an utter pleasure again for us to be exposed to such inspiring fashionistas and we are looking forward to witnessing a continued streak of hipster spirit during the upcoming London Fashion Week Womenswear in February.
