Alexandra Hodgson is a Womenswear designer, creating a more alternative style. Hodgson studies at The University for Creative Arts and graduates with her collection, ‘1949-84’ this year. She has a wide variety of interests, such as an alternative taste in sub-culture, enjoying both the music and the fashion as such characters of Marilyn Manson, fine art and literature. Which formed the basis of her collections. ‘1949-84’ brings her love of literature and sub-culture together as it centers around Orwell’s 1984, whilst bringing in elements of an alternative 1980s style, using bold colours and prints with exaggerated silhouettes.
