Alice Hampton currently in her final year of studying for a Fashion degree at Norwich University of the Arts, Alice Hampton is creating a collection inspired by her childhood hobby, ballet. Alice’s collection focuses on sustainability, zero waste garments and elegant designs.

Her collection looks at the Romantic Ballet era in particular to explore how ballet costumes have come to what they are today, including the introduction of the pointe shoes, the rise in length of the tutu skirt and the pale colour palettes.

Alice explored working with second-hand ballet garments to embellish her collection and designed her garments to bring joy and happiness to the wearer. Her collection is deemed womenswear but she is passionate about fashion being genderless and says that this collection is for anyone who wants to wear it.
