Charmaine Lam is an emerging fashion and textile designer currently based in London. Born in Hong Kong, she completed a Bachelor's degree in Knitwear Design at the Hong Kong Polytechnic University with first-class honors and received an Outstanding Award in the PolyU Fashion Show 2020 before continuing her postgraduate study in MA Fashion from Kingston University.

Charmaine debuted her MA graduate collection to critical acclaim at London Fashion Week digitally in 2022 which is known for her exquisite craftsmanship and avant-garde design. Her MA graduate is also selected and will be presented in the DUCFS2023.

The idea of her MA graduate collection is by merging the 1900s air force uniform with the idea of mourning customs in the Victorian period to create an unseen contemporary menswear collection. Other than only considering garments’ detail and silhouette, Charmaine’s work can be identified by her heavily handcrafted textiles. Combining her artisanal fabrications and interesting silhouette, her work is personalized and presented with a very strong identity.
