At BERACAMY designs contain inbuilt interactive elements. The wearer gets to alter the same bag into looking different to adapt to different situations. Increased wearability means increased options within one item, minimising excessive options in the face of different situations in life calling for different ways of dressing - by asking a design to perform with a higher degree of versatility.
Founded in Paris 2009 in a small design studio in the heart of the trendy 3rd arrondissement. Beracamy was originally created by friends turned business partners who are Central Saint Martins / London College of Fashion / Goldsmiths University Fine Art graduates. The friends had initially come together not only through their mutual interests as makers and designers - but also a result of an ongoing dialogue and interest in the human psychology behind taste inclinations and its relation to societal cultural conditioning.
The designer is grateful towards her parents for always supporting her through her passion within the arts, using her skills to repay them in the way she knows best. The essence of the collection can be felt through the poem which embodies it written specifically for Le Chéile by Patrick Mullins.
