Lily Cheska’s Studio Pre-Fall 20 is a sustainable sportswear collection heavily inspired by sports equipment and practicality.

Studying at Winchester School of Art she specialised in menswear and took an interest in designing sustainability and has always been inspired by things around us using fabrics from home interiors and objects. Lily wanted this collection to inspire people to be more innovative in their ideas and to produce less.

Within previous work, Lily has challenged the social norms of male masculinity and created expressive garments celebrating being queer, however, has always been drawn back to sportswear. Practicality plays a big role in her CS P-F 20 collection using recycled boating rope and washing line to create drawstring detail to adjust size and shape. The main fabric used is from old sleeping bags with no purpose anymore putting them to use.
