Cordelia Saville-Smith is a recent graduate who studied BA (Hons) in Textile Design at Central Saint Martins.

Her final collection explores the process behind the creation of pearls. The aim was to capture the fragility and ethereality of the appearance of a pearl in juxtaposition with the nature in which they are formed wherein the shell of the mollusc encloses the irritant with layers of nacre to form the pearl. Through material development, she aimed to create this layered and hidden aesthetic where the closer you look the more you will see.
