Ellis Mhairi Cameron is a fine jeweller, whose work is inspired by her Scottish heritage. Created by hand in her London studio, Ellis uses traditional techniques and hand skills to give her pieces their signature rugged aesthetic.
Since launching her fine jewellery brand in 2017, Ellis has secured stockists within the UK and Europe and has been featured in publications such as Vanity Fair, Vogue and Harper's Bazaar. Ellis has also been shortlisted for ‘Young Designer of the Year 2018’ award by Professional Jeweller and 'New Designer of the Year' by The UK Jewellery Awards 2019. In 2019 she was awarded a '30 under 30' award from Retail Jeweller.
Ellis’ latest collection, Origins, takes inspiration from the jewellery hoards which have been found across Scotland, containing pieces which transcend the centuries and encompass the heritage of many different lands.
Origins takes qualities from these hoards; a myriad of coins and jewels, fragments of history, pollinated from different areas. Sculpted in 14 carat yellow gold and set with diamonds, the Origins collection is a fusion of intricacy and erosion. Historical shapes are deconstructed into sculptural fine jewellery situated firmly within today’s modern world.
