Emily began designing womenswear because, as a young girl, the idea of designing for men simply never occurred to her. It wasn't until her second year at Kingston University that a tutor assumed her clothes were for men, when all of a sudden the penny dropped. Ever since she has been obsessed with Mens clothing, from tailoring and formalwear to sportswear and RTW.

When studying abroad in Asia Emily became extremely aware of the stark differences between male friendships in the East compared to that of the West, and began to question the social construct of masculinity. It was this train of thought that led her to focus on aggressive sport, in particular ice hockey, for her graduate collection, combining it with beautiful prints inspired by Salvation Mountain in California.

Her aim was to produce something that was luxurious and cool, clothes that real men would actually want to buy. The fabric selection process was extremely important and took a long time to perfect, making sure there was an overall balance and harmony between the pieces.

All the screen printing was done by hand, seven layers of colours carefully aligned to produce vibrant and playful artwork for the pieces. The digital print was padded and embroidered by hand to create three-dimensional textures and a high quality result.
