Merging fashion with art is Founder of the urban T-shirt brand Tribe All, Angela Thouless. As part of Fashion Crossover London’s series of exclusive interviews with our most promising designers, we have had the opportunity to pick the brain of the Scottish designer voted Top Emerging Designer of the Year 2019 and Diverse Company of the Year 2020 at the International Runway Achievers & Recognition Awards. Angela proves there is no age limit when it comes to fashion and celebrates inclusivity with her tribal-inspired T-shirts that merges her love for art with fashion.

While the world was put on pause and there was a global demand for harmony and acceptance, the Scottish T-shirt label Tribe All offered just that. Founder and Diversity Award-winning designer Angela Thouless aims to unify all tribes, regardless of age, size, gender or race with her graphic T-shirt label Tribe All. Taking inspiration from different cultures, each design represents a specific tribe and highlights their belief-system. Tribe All seeks to educate her audience while addressing the similarities and differences that define all of us.

“The idea initially came to me at a street art workshop when I was looking to repurpose empty spray cans. You will find that the faces featured in my designs pop up numerous times in the streets of Aberdeen. One of my main objectives is to give back to the community, my first tribal mask was created and sold at a charity auction and this is something I want to keep doing,” says Founder Angela Thouless.

“The launch of my new website could not have come at a better time. The message I’m trying to put out is more relevant than ever before. Now is the time that we really need to come together. The pandemic forced me to rethink my brand-strategy and as an emerging designer I was faced with a new set of challenges, yet with the continuous support and help from Fashion Crossover London, Tribe All has pulled through and is thriving.”
