Fallen Knits started earlier this year as third year Fashion Textiles - knit student at Middlesex University. Two of us were taking about a break from knitting as we were frustrated that our knit kept falling off the machine. During this break we were joking about having an instagram account to post all of our fallen knits with pun captions, just to show fellow knitters that its okay to make mistakes.

We use @fallenknits as a platform to embrace the failures with silly captions and have built a community where people feel comfortable submitting their own fallen knits to us. We believe this is what makes us stand out from the crowd as we are not posting beautifully finished work but embracing mistakes!
