Grace Blackman is a fashion design student at the University of Brighton. With a passion for weaving and construction using unconventional materials, she has created a youthful, romantic womenswear collection. After experimenting with bin-liners, she developed a technique of hand weaving which lead to an organic experimental way of working.

She interned for Christopher Kane and Burberry on her placement year and is currently looking to explore many careers within the creative industries.

Creating a collection from lockdown was a challenge but eventually a success. During lockdown she has modelled for many shoots, both inside her own house and the surrounding countryside. A collection video shoot using a drone has also been posted to her youtube highlighting the collection as a whole.

She looks forward to conducting studio shoots as soon as possible and exploring the styling aspect of her work.
