Júlia Assis Falcâo is a Brazilian fashion designer based in London. She moved to London to study at Kingston University at their BA (Hons) Fashion course and will move onto an Accessories Design MA at Accademia Costume e Moda next year.

Julia’s work translates her curiosity regarding volumes, shapes, the way spaces are filled or void and its surfaces, the textures and infinite possibilities that come from making something from scratch.

Another facet of her practice comes from the outrage she feels towards the First world neglect of other realities outside the European point of view. In her work she fuses those two subjects into fashion pieces with a goal of broadcasting both her aesthetics and the discussions she considers important. She does that by incorporating those matters in different mediums such as knitwear, jewellery and graphic design to reflect her ideas.
