REHEP - an assistive and rehabilitation tool for stroke patients to perform strength training exercises on both limbs and synchronise hand movements with the affected half of the body.

Janet Choi is an interdisciplinary designer. Graduated from MA Material Futures at Central Saint Martins, Janet seeks the integration of art and science as an alternative way for solutions in different media. Website:

Designed in modular structures with compliant mechanisms, REHAP can be printed in a single material, which simplifies the production and recycling process. This project also aims to make the ecosystem of rehabilitation and assistive technologies more accessible and sustainable with motorless and simplified mechanisms.

Funded by Collaborating with Wellcome / EPSRC Centre for Interventional and Surgical Sciences (WEISS) at University College London, REHAP is a collaborative project with Dr Tijana Jevtic Vojinovic to explore the connection of art, science and innovative concepts in assistive technologies with public audience.
