Jasmine’s collection explores evidence of human survival within architecture through Hong Kong’s Kowloon Walled City, examining how structures in this ungoverned district emerged from constraint. Drawing from archival photographs, garments reference improvised mutual bracing systems, where buildings relied on one another for support in the absence of regulation.

Through fragmenting patterns into interlocking pieces, she translates architectural conditions of leaning and compression into construction. Mould and stains become textile prints recording habitation. Garments serve as architectural excavation, preserving traces of survival erased by demolition and neglect within Hong Kong’s colonial history.
