Joanna Prazmo's collection was inspired by 'rhizome' philosophy developed by french philosopher Gilles Deluze and french psychoanalyst Felix Guattari. It suggests that many things in the world are consistent and 'rhizomatically' interconnected. This analysis draws examples from molecular biology, botany, evolution, history, linguistics, psychoanalysis, politics, music and even more. In Deluze and Guattari analysis all things in the world are rhizomes. Following this concept Joanna expanded her research into fields such as art, nature, microbiology and genetics which evolved into looking closer into living organisms which gave rise to wide range of inspirations for developing collection. Research led to extensive experimentations with different materials and methods to achieve unconventional textiles and textures and evaluated into creating garments from silicone rubber.

During the process of translating research findings into design ideas Joanna has experimented with variety of materials that she successfully combined with silicone rubber such as metal computer parts, luxury metal knitmesh, fiberglass mat, insects and stockings. Outfits were supplemented with garments made out of traditional fabrics such as tulle, organza, mesh and recycled denim and finished with experimental sewing techniques. Every silicone piece was made by different technique to test and challenge material performance. For this collection Joanna designed and made shoes, gloves, lips masks and eyelashes to add individual character to each look.

Theme of collection is wide and covers many subjects of exploration. Each look represents different one combining experimental textile making, sewing and raw finishing. Silicone pieces are handmade and consist of variety of materials and objects involved in the process therefore each one of them is very individual and unique. Collection pieces are like 'rhizome' - connections between them might be invisible for human eye but all the elements are consistent and interconnected in nature.
