Katherine’s graduate collection was strongly inspired by her Mongolia journey when she was ten years old. She collaged her research and from her observation of human action to visualise her imagination into wind force to express the movement during the trip.
 


During the research and experiment process, she looked at human action through her observation on the street and experiment with hairdryer, fan, vacuum cleaner to model the shape. She also referenced the historical Mongolian women in their sportswear and clothing in the war.

 
 
 
 

The fabric process has taken inspiration from the Mongolian handcraft. Fabricating the textile design by the hand-dye silk and bamboo, she believes garment speaks itself, the texture of the clothing tells the story. Each piece is a combination of different fabric and textile. By reformed the wind force in her collection, the movement and the fabric process are reflected in the past of the most significant fighting force Empires-Mongolia.
