Kenzi Laird is a 22-year-old conscious fashion designer from Dumfries, Scotland. She has just finished four years at Heriot-Watt University, Galashiels with a slightly more abrupt ending as to what she was expecting. Kenzi been studying fashion & design for four years at the Scottish Borders Campus in Galashiels and there where she developed her interest in innovated ways of upcycling and combining both of her love of the respected fine arts and contemporary fashion. Her aspirations for when he graduates is to work in design and continue to share interesting ideas with other creatives to hopefully use fashion as a tool to aid the complexity of sustainability. Kenzi Laird wants to use her advantage in reaching innovated ways to educate a wider audience about conscious decision making that effects our planet.
Ï - A/W 20 Kenzi Laird graduate collection gives focus to the comparison between today’s society and African nomadic tribes; the difference within how each continent deals with waste problems differently and the effect of climate change and urbanisation within these countries and its relevance to fashion.
