Khai Teoh is a Textile Designer who specialises in Print Design, recently graduating in 2021 from Central Saint Martins.
Whilst completing her BA in Textile Design at Central Saint Martins, Khai had always focused on her interest and fascination in Japanese culture.
For her graduate collection she explores her narrative on Japanese monsters (Yōkai). The collection features handbags with different qualities of monsters, as well as a range of straps and samples. Her work focuses on reworking leather into handbags by exploring her own interlocking techniques. Her work is driven by her interest in materials, textures, colour and pattern. Her approach to sustainability includes using low-impact printing, vegan leather, leather offcuts and design longevity.
