I started from the perspective, to discuss the erasure of prejudices. Use Pleating and Laser cutting technique to create multi-layer around the body. From left to right, from top to the bottom, from positive to negative, there is no absolute "right" angle. Arouse people's reflection on ideology through the uncertainty of mixed elements. I want to bring up the experience that can encourage us to accept the opposing thoughts from others and oneself. Harmoniously see the world.

My mirror mirror work was pursuing the sense of the unity of opposites. Emphasize the penetration and coordination between opposites being. I developed some "ambiguous images" according to the original idea. It triggers a different perspective through the reversal or observation from different angles. I find it interesting that Laser cutting usually separates the work into "positive" and "negative" sides. Also called "cut" and "cut off" pieces. But in this project, I had erased the definition. I named them both "negative cut."

I used thicker and thinner materials when Laser cutting to continue the sense of opposition.

The accordion pleats are more complicated than I expect. To meet the ideal result, the accuracy of the 1cm distance folding must be less than 2mm. Otherwise, the images will be mixed. I contact London pleat company, and they told me that it is impossible to achieve an actual distance match. I did a hand-make "accuracy challenge" in a fashion studio while sending out the fabric to the company. On the left is the machine work, the red square area shows the error. The right is the hand-made sample.

The next is my Sketchbook, which shows my consideration of how materials interact with the body. And I do Fitting with different body size to make an adjustment. Also got a chance to meet people and listen to how they feel about it.
