Yanxiong Lin is a Chinese designer currently based in London. His practices combine elements from different times, spaces, and dimensions to create a single form to possess multiple referents based on its relation to other elements in a pictorial composition.

This project combines elements from different times, spaces, and dimensions to make a new visual hybrid, expressing elusive, non-specific but intriguing concepts. Yanxiong blends objects from his childhood memories, especially products that appeared in China in the late 1980s, with his recent artistic and cultural experiences.

The complex aesthetic object of contemporary life is composed of discrete parts. It can be regarded as a dis-integrated entity or, with respect to its place within a body of work, one component of a castellated whole. Yanxiong was influenced by Cubism and Deconstruction to try to create a single form possessing multiple referents based on its relation to other elements in a pictorial composition.
