Exploring nature and self, my work integrates diverse materials, yielding unique pieces like virtual, solar-sensitive, and 'breathing' jewellery. I view jewellery as a communicative bridge, fascinated by the symbiotic energy between adornment and wearer. My creations encapsulate personal and external exploration.
Ling Yin’s work manifests itself as an interactive tool for healing, urging the wearer to go outside to experience the jewellery to the full. Under UV light, the pieces take on the colours of nature but realise their true potential under direct sunlight. Dreaming of a world where self-care and healing through connecting with nature take priority over technology, Ling Yin hopes that her pieces act as a bridge to create that relationship. Using materials such as pearls, brass and soft silicon, her work becomes part of the wearer and opens up a space for healing and reconnection.
