Linh Nguyen is a Vietnamese designer born in the Czech Republic and has recently graduated from London College of Fashion. Always intrigued by the different ways culture and language allows one to perceive the surroundings and understand oneself, in her last year at London College of Fashion Linh has created a collection inspired by the merging of cultures inspired by the stories of her parents immigrating to Czechoslovakia( at the time) in the 1980, capturing their identity change and exploration of youth.

The designer focuses on wearable RTW looks as she believes personal connection is achieved when the designs can become part of one’s everyday life. Big interest of hers lies within fabrication, textures, colours and details such as buttons as these tell the story whilst shapes and structure can remain wearable. Although she has been focused on womenswear so far, she is looking to explore menswear and textiles in the near future.
