Lisa Hanna Osimo’s collection was inspired by a need and a right she has got of being different, unique and especially FREE. She speaks for every woman and man, who’s tired of being judged and who just wants to express her uniqueness and style through her attitude as well as with her look. While she was looking for material inspiration she came across a nylon mesh tube that has got a peculiar mechanism of “trapping” the finger once it has been worn. This trapping effect is very particular to feel. LHO plays with the contrast between being forced inside a sort of cage but at the same time being free to wear it even if it’s not something for everybody to be worn everyday. The oxymoron is in being free to choose to be trapped.

The process of making these unique and intricate pieces was very struggling but this is what Lisa Hanna Osimo always looks for; she tries to reach something until she reach it. She started by experimenting with the material in order to know its characteristics, its limits and how to push them. Then she sketched shapes without thinking about the actual feasibility because this would kill her flow. Once she likes a shape she fights to reach it. To have the best quality she works with a skilled and experienced goldsmith, Alberto Terreni, in Italy who helps her with the gold parts and the precious stone settings. Lisa buys her stones from Osigem; an Italian company based in Milan. Lisa is the one who at the end of the process assembles every part of each piece very carefully in order to complete the jewels.

The collection is made by jewels with the appearance of wearable art pieces. The material she uses allows her to design and realise incredibly light yet majestic pieces. This collection is for women who are not afraid to be looked at, while the jewels act both as a shield and a weapon for the wearer towards the rest of the world. They're for women who buy their own jewels without waiting to receive them as a gift.
