The romance of creating a new garment from scratch and exploring the shapes is central to my design process. I like delving into the story of what a garment’s history was, what it is, and what it will be. My sister and I specialize in creating textures by layering different materials such as horsehair and tulle to create multi-dimensional surfaces.

My sister and I design oversized clothing with an upscale streetwear inspiration. Our silhouettes are inspired by my upbringing, and the shapes around us. As Dominican-born to Chinese immigrant parents, we were exposed to multiple cultures melting before us. The concept of layering textiles to emulate a sense of transformation through its voluminous lines and shape-shifting effect has always attracted us, leading to our designs today.
