With a passion for slow crafts and traditional textile processes, Minnie Reed is a London-based textile designer, specialising in knit.

During her time studying BA Textile Design at Central Saint Martins, Minnie developed a fascination with the concept of value, returning to this theme in most projects. With sustainability at the forefront of her practice she has developed a keen interest in using this concept to tackle mass over consumption seen in the fast fashion industry.

With her graduate collection Minnie focuses on the intimate connections people have to their belongings, and in particular her relationship to her own clothing. Her design practice is rooted in hand processes, and she hopes that her collection inspires the continued repair and use of fabrics and garments. Minnie believes that there are many more aspects to sustainability than developing new materials. She is committed to showcasing the value of textiles using slow crafts to achieve sustainability within fashion and textiles.
