Toronto born Polish/Canadian designer Molly Burdzy has been working to seemlessly and unapologetically weave her lifestyle and interests into her art and designs.

Initially her time at Ryerson University started off with an Environmental and Urban Sustainability degree which also plays a role in her design values.

A lot of what influences her work is her music and film interests and exploring the colourful cultural decades that came along with them but adding modern ideologies as a starting point to promote important topics that resonate with her. Some being the importance of feminism, sexuality and freedom of expression.

Throughout University Molly took interest in a plethora of Art History and Historical dress courses which aided in her knowledge of costume design and more theatrical dress. Exploring the significance of textiles and historical garments is something she hopes to turn into a future career.
