Passionate about challenging the norm through the powerful tool named fashion, Nina Ollenburg is a recent graduate from the Bachelor of Applied Fashion of University of Canberra, based in Brisbane.

The bachelor has provided Nina a space to showcase her quirkiness and ideas, allowing for the accumulation of values and aesthetics to truly shine in the graduate collection of her final year. Her previous and current designs have always had an emphasis of story-telling, with the hope that her garments can speak for those who cannot speak or express themselves.

In this particular graduate collection, "Damaged Goods" the story of hope and rebuilding is done through grotesquely bright garments with juxtaposing volumes and silhouettes. Each piece feature sleeves of wild or semi-wild proportions, as it is the signature element the designer always focuses on.

To further emphasise the theme of growth, the collection itself features absolutely every skill the designer had developed during the course : embroidery, draping, basic corsetry and developing a unique fabric print from scratch, as well as many more.

Each garment was and is not intended for mass production, heavily drawing on the slow fashion principle, with each garment made and developed by the designer from start to finish, ensuring each one is done with love and passion for the craft.
