Odella Yue is originally from China, growing up in China and England was an interesting experience, she enjoyed her exploration in the two very different cultures, both of which have influenced her design style greatly.
Odella appreciates Chinese traditional culture as well as modern digital culture; her work is often inspired by her Chinese heritage and transformed into fashion designs with a modern digital twist. Growing up as a child, she was always the nerdy one and used comic books and games to dream and escape to a world of unfettered imagination.

Odella always believed that the inner nature of our unconsciousness possesses the infinite creativity, every dream we ever experienced was constructed with the things we have seen or experienced in the reality of the external world.
Her collection is a playful exploration of her inner mind and representation of her life experience.
The aim of which were to focus on the exploration of the unique characteristic of dream, and to trigger wearers’ responses by exploring the wonder of our internal emotions through understanding the construction of our perception and the implication of our dreams.
She recorded all her thoughts and all the bizarre and terrifying nightmares— Odella then analysed her dreams with psychoanalysis theories and transformed them into graphic prints that were used in her fashion collection.

She experimented with fabrics of different weight and textures, trying to explore the possible methods and combinations to create contrasting but harmonious visual effect. All garments are finished with black bias binding, to outline the silhouette of garments to create a graphic visual effect and also provide better control over the contrasting colours. By combines distinctive silhouette and imaginative prints that reflect current issues, her collection is aiming to inspire artistic conversations between the designer and consumer.
