Olivia loves to incorporate many different techniques and skills in her designs, from traditional corsetry techniques to hand waxing fabrics and seam sealing tapes, creating modern hybrid garments that work seamlessly together is a great passion of hers.

She has spent time studying in New York at Pratt Institute, where she learnt how to work with leather, practiced tailoring and implemented sportswear techniques in designs. Olivia loves to broaden skillset as she believes it makes her a better designer, understanding how clothes come together is key.

Olivia is often inspired by very mundane elements, there is so much nuance in normal things. She named her graduate collection ‘The Struggle for Ordinary’, after a quote from ‘The Art of the Ordinary’, a book all about blue jeans. She based her collection off ‘ordinary’ social uniforms, and clothing that people feel most comfortable in. As people are always making a statement about themselves by what the choose to wear, regardless if they are trying to so or not.
