
Peggy Cheng is a recently graduated Women’s wear designer based in Sydney. She has been gaining her fashion taste through working in Luxury retail. It helps her make high-end fabric choices.
Until Summer 2019, when she was pursuing her BA in Fashion Design at TAFE- Fashion Design Studio, she had always been focused on dramatic silhouettes.
Refer back to an Ancient East Asia fine art. A garden pond painting usually appears a lot. Often captures lotus, Koi fish in the painting. These two elements stand for diligent, satisfaction and finest meanings. This collection turns the painting into an advanced guard East Asia garden pond. Metallic represents water and its own reflection. The collection combines all these key elements in each look to give a garden pond vibe.
Silhouette inspired by American architect "Frank Gehry's" master-piece "Hotel Marques de Riscal". This architecture consist of several large pieces and metallic wave panels. The colour and the shape is Modern and artistic. Therefore, large metallic ruffles had been adopted in some looks.
Last inspiration is inspired by late 1900's fashion. Chest panel, high waist panel, and leg of mutton sleeves are key elements in collection. The collection combines an ancient East and West, also a contemporary West to give a fresh vibe.
