Peiyi Liang is a fashion designer based in China and London
Not limiting herself to experimentation, she has stepped away from her previous experience in womenswear design to experiment in more directions on her MA at Royal College of Art
Her collection not only develops sustainable material experiments but also uses the imagination to portray the future of sustainability. In the context of sea-level rise, will people be forced to go underwater to survive without adequate land resources in the future? The special seaweed yarn can not only be used in the water, but can also be used to provide oxygen and energy to people without damaging the environment. People will also have advanced algae farms to produce these yarns and garments underwater
This project is still in progress
