Peiyi’s collection was inspired by her travelling and life experience of visiting exhibitions, during the summer holiday in London and Paris. One of the exhibition was about cross-dressers in different areas of history. She picked the Mock Wedding part as her main design inspiration from this exhibition. Another exhibition was about Alphonse Mucha’s artworks. She felt the culture and artworks could be fusion, even they were from opposite aspects.

During the process of combining Mock Wedding inspiration and Mucha’s artworks, Peiyi brought classic tailoring silhouettes and traditional patterns with feminine colour to create a collection as a contemporary new women style. At the same time, there are some pieces suitable for men as well. For her collection, she brought tailored elements to everywhere, such as the apron style top, which had two layers lapel callors on the back. She created the new check pattern for her long reversible casual jacket, which had different on every single rows and columns.

Peiyi brought three main methods of design; deconstruction, reconstruction and asymmetric in all her designs. She challenged herself to make the tailored jacket with an asymmetric method, which mixed half waistcoat and half classic style. Also, she used the deconstruction method to make the coat piece to become a pair of single-leg trousers. She focused on the ideal silhouette and adjusted it. After nine experiments, she got the final best unique silhouette with her signature style.
