Stereotypical references have labelled the women of society with what is expected of a female. Rhiannon used this as her main tool for inspiration. The equality of the sexes and how gender ideals have been developed link feminine qualities such as body image and beauty to a feminine role.
Rhiannon wanted to use fashion to change this strongly controversial view within society and refigure the image of the feminine gender ideal. This would not only be determined on the history and culture but also the activities of new fashion trends. These show how feminism has evolved from the history of women’s rights to the influences of the male form and sportswear.

Rhiannon’s transformation of fashion was to create a new identity for women and how gender roles are no longer the tradition, and by the acts from the sexual revolution and the cars of women’s rights has completely changed the perspective of how society today portrays women’s fashion. The history of the body ideal for women were based on a woman’s role, which is what created these initial female stereotypes.
Over time, equality of the sexes was introduced, which ultimately gave women the power to be seen as equal to men. Women began to dress and act differently, expressing the freedom of womanhood and the change of the feminine ideal itself. Body image and the way beauty is perceived has been influenced by the media and culture. The way women’s fashion has evolved is more acceptable when it comes to freely wearing what you choose. The ideal has adapted to show show elements of the female body and both embracing their shapes and enhancing their features.
Rhiannon’s collection plays on the trends of fashion wearing masculine silhouetted, over-sized clothing but at the same time, showing a sense of feminine glamour and sex appeal to indicate a confident and bold look with the power of women. She is glamourising the masculine elements in fashion, in order to create a new identity for women.

The Fenty X Puma collection was Rhiannon’s main influence of inspiration when it came to creating her collection. The example of blending urban wear with short pants or a crop top allows the beauty of the female body form to be enhanced. Using colours such as pinks and pastels shows a feminine look by using the contrast of bold colours links to its sportswear. Rhiannon used the key elements of oversized silhouettes with long sleeves and clothing revealing skin to create her collection. The sportswear style is show in her collection through glamourising each outfit with fabric such as duchess satin and contrasting urban, navy denim.
