From growing up in the middle of the quiet countryside in Essex, LCF graduate Róisín Cummins,24 found herself takin on the bustling city life of London in 2016 after gaining a place on the prestigious Fashion Design Womenswear BA at London College of Fashion.
Róisín has always been incredibly intrigued and drawn towards the darker more theatrical side of fashion, something that was heavily introduced to her when she got the opportunity to intern for Gareth Pugh in 2012.
At the start of her degree, she was selected to design and show a collection at the well known ‘Don’t Walk’ charity fashion show in St Andrews, Scotland. Throughout her womenswear degree, Róisín was very passionate about lingerie, intimates and how she could incorporate them into her own designs. This leads her to intern for the luxury lingerie brand Studio Pia for a few months. Which in turn helped her to Launch her own side brand ‘BaRe Lingerie’.
Róisín’s fascination of lingerie and fetishism heavily inspired bringing fetishwear details into her graduate collection. Where she refined her signature style of lacing metals, figure inflation and exaggeration. Her final collection ‘Itegument’ was selected and showcased at London College of Fashions distinguished press show of 2019.
