Sissell Gustavsen is a textile designer specialised in print. Her aim is to create sustainable and aesthetic work. Her recent work is focused on materiality using various biodegradable fabrics and natural dyes. She seeks inspiration from nature and environment and her project is based on coastal areas, such as the one she stayed at during lockdown.
The 19th of March 2020. The last day Sissell Gustavsen and her course mates were using the beloved print room at Central Saint Martins. On the same day she leaves London behind. As her own country, Denmark was already closed down, she decides to go to Wales, the family home of her course mate to get away from all the stress in the city the same day.
