‘Under the Lens’, explores unseen natural organisms to create uniquely designed pieces to share the hidden beauty of the microscopic world. Utilizing the shapes and cell patterns of existing microorganisms, she emphasizes its elegance in this world that is seen as unappealing. By developing her own interpretation of microorganisms through form and colour, she applies precious metals and gemstones to highlight exquisiteness of organic forms.

Sydnie has always been interested in the different cell patterns under a microscope, she was inspired to create a collection based on the microscopic world. By exploring the endless variety of unseen organisms, she decided that understanding the different classifications of what a microorganism is was crucial to exploring the range in her collection.
