Tamera Francis is a Fashion Textiles graduate from Middlesex University specialising in knitwear. She is currently situated in Nottingham.

During the time when she was pursuing her BA in Fashion Textiles, Francis initially had an interest in print but towards the end of her first year realised her love for knitting.

Her work tends to incorporate themes that are personal to her but also incorporating an element thats new to her. Her BA collection being inspired by her mothers dancehall theme nights out. Although this is apart of her Jamaican heritage she wasn’t as immersed into it as much as her mother, and so she found it exciting to explore her take on it. Her designs were influenced by collages of her mums clothes, funny dancehall album cover illustrations and illustrations from dancehall films and music videos she has watched.
