Bournemouth university has come a long way in a short amount of time and currently have more than 17,000 students of which 1,500 are international students from around 130 countries.

By way of illustration, Bournemouth are recognised as the only Centre for Excellence in Media Practice in the UK. Graduates from the university have worked on a number of Hollywood films, including "Gravity", which was awarded the Achievement in Visual Effects Oscar at the 86th Academy Awards.
