Wen Yue Zhang's graduate collection was premiered at Northumbria University 2016 Graduate Fashion Week.

The collection takes influence from aspects of traditional Peking Opera combined with modern beading, ruching, layering and other techniques. The oversized silhouettes, floral satin print and bold use of colour, pompoms and gender neutrality come from the styling of Peking Opera and the tradition of men playing female roles.
