With an upbringing around the world, Amruta Behera is a global citizen whose life and experiences act as an inspiration for her collection.

Amruta completed her BFA in Fashion Design at the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York. The fast paced environment of the city and the life in it further pushed her fascination of the digital world and how virtual connections play an important part in her life.

Upon graduation from FIT, Amruta’s work focuses on technology. Her graduation collection became a relevant part of the Covid-19 Pandemic as the world turned virtual. Each of her designs contain digital elements such as barcodes and QR codes that can be scanned. This interaction between the garment and the wearer further emphasizes the idea that ‘as humans become more digital, technology becomes more human’. The line between the digital and the real world is being blurred.
