A native of The Republic of Moldova, Corina Cigodaru is a Fashion Designer and Illustrator. Her education background includes a BA in Decorative Arts and Design, an MA in Fashion Design from The Art and Design University of Cluj Napoca, Romania, and a semester studentship at Accademia di Belle Arti di Brera, Milan.

Corina's creative research focuses on political, social and environmental problems, and the way they affect our society.

She uses Fashion Design as an instrument to share her point of view, involving different forms of art in her works as: painting and graphics for making the prints, sculpture and installation art for the accessories etc.

The "CHERNOBYL" Collection is depicting her viewpoint about the human impact on the nature and the influence of politics in our daily life. The colourful prints that includes illustrations of endangered species is an allegory of the toxic world we are living in.
