With a keen eye for functional womenswear, Elisia Seaward is a recently graduated designer based in London. Until March 2022, when Elisia was pursuing her MA in Fashion Design Womenswear at Central Saint Martins, she had always been focused on how to create functional fashion that able to transform and adapt, to encourage a longer lifecyle of a garment and slow down fashion.

Her collections constantly explore ways to incorporate a sustainable element, with this particular collection doing so using continous zips, which enable the collection to be unzipped a draped in many different ways by the wearer, creating multiple silhouettes out of one garment. Using key themes such as garment deconstruction, Elisia explored various different techniques such as fraying, zips, open seams, drape work and piping giving her collection a technical element and a sense of rawness. Her collection also uses these elements to explore ‘The Undone Woman’.
