Emanuele Bianco is a fashion designer with a background in Architecture.
His research and inspiration comes from the obsession of things of the past, such as vintage pictures, clothes, antique furniture or fabrics and how those elements heavily influence our collective memory. Heritage and history are therefore essential in his approach to fashion. His design process focus on how his inspiration and concept can be applied to structure, materials and tactibility to create a new contemporary object of desire.
His graduate collection takes inspiration from the harvesting women of Sardinia, a type of human activity heavily forgotten but so relevant in the world of today and our approach to the environment. The gesture of harvesting reflects the way we used to live and leave us with questions on what is the humans impact on this environment.
