Emily Oda is a 23 year old Knitwear designer who recently graduated from Textile Design with Knit at Central Saint Martins. Emily believes there’s strength in feminity. Through her work she treads the line between coverage and exposure. With her most recent collection Womanhood, Emily aims to question ‘why underwear couldn't be outwear’.

Having lived in England, Japan, and the U.S., she is well positioned to notice cultural differences, and she hopes that her work can help open women’s awareness to their body in positive ways.

Her preference for handmade techniques as well as working on a high gage knitting machine create highly crafted pieces, with a special attention to fully fashioned, body conscious garments.
