When Eugene was majoring her BA in Fashion Design , she had always been focused on how to make consumers embarrassed by using embarrassing objects.
‘Embarrassing object’ suggests another usage that is different from a common object’s main usage and to give embarrassment and freshness to consumers. An example of this is when Duchamp depicted a toilet as a water fountain and consumers felt intrigued.
In this collection, she used rumpy textiles as an embarrassing object - inspired by tight harnesses, the main material is a rubber pipe that is shrunk when heated. The rubber pipe was split in half and matured for a month in a mixture of wintergreen oil and alcohol, making it smooth. After that, stone washing was done and the chain stitch developed was sewn.
