Find out for yourself below!

In your collection new collection OuYang T - Jewellery on Technology what was the inspiration behind it?

The inspiration for the Ouyang T collection came from me walking on the streets daily. Nowadays, mobile devices have more and more become a necessary part of people's life. Everybody can easily access information and work, communicate with others. But I also realize the fashion is hard to collaborate with technology devices. etc the small fashion handbag or big style earrings. Then I start to explore the new bridge between mobile devices and jewellery.

Following the previous question, you state you have a keen eye for up-cycling and rejuvenation what are the materials which are used to create this collection?

The mean materials I decided to use are titanium and magnet. Titanium is hard and light, very stable as a jewellery material also could use in the aerospace industry. Titanium giving a great futuristic mood for this collection, also the magnet giving the rings more function.

I also realize the fashion is hard to collaborate with technology devices.

Can you tell us more about the collection and how the jewellery can be used alongside technology?

My dream is to see the shows represent social issues, taboo topics and other uncomfortable themes for a fashion show. So I want to express myself in relation to the world, in order to understand every little thing that must be told. I would like to be the voice of discomfort, and not a refreshment for rich people.

We can explore new ways to intersect our humanity and happiness with the technology that threads through and around our lives through my design

You mention that your strive to intersect the beauty of art and design with technology. Can you elaborate on this?

I try to communicate technology with jewellery in new we-abilities. Also, the form and structure come from the Sign which we use every day as. So I named this project Jewellery on technology. We can explore new ways to intersect our humanity and happiness with the technology that threads through and around our lives through my design. Audiences can wear "Signs" as jewellery, with a function that shows the living status like forwarding or pausing. Your phone or earphones can also "wear" jewellery. Where does the technology end and where do people begin? Somewhere in the middle, we meet in balance.

Would you mind telling us more about what your future plans are after you complete your Master at IED Istituto Europeo di Design?

I plan to go deeper into the jewellery industry and get to know the different parts of the industry from bottom to top. Only having a bold mind is not enough to become a mature designer. At this stage, I am also open to a job in any position.

Get to know the different parts of the industry from bottom to top.
