Gony Han is a Fashion print designer based in South Korea and London. During the time when she was pursuing her BA in Textiles Print in Central Saint Martins, Gony developed her sense creating colour schemes and her skills with fabric printing techniques.
Her project is a result of an observation of packaging culture. She realised packaging creates an enormous amount of waste in short time. As a response to this problematic culture of packaging, material choices are based on sustainability and environmentally friendly. The garments are mainly made out of recycled-polyester, organic cotton, organic woven, organic denim, organic linen and fabrics from vintage clothing.
All shapes of the patches are inspired by torn and crushed pieces of packaging. The printed shapes are came from the randomness of torn candy wrappers and the way chocolate boxes shrunk. She was interested in the boundary shape of the damaged packaging.
