Honor Cameron is a Womenswear designer based in London. She completed her BA(Hons) degree in Fashion at the University of Brighton in 2019. Her design outcomes are often concept-driven and heavily influenced by a desire to embody a mood or feeling.
When creating her degree collection, Blackberrying, Honor used an introspective viewpoint to inspire her clothing, focusing on the feeling of nostalgia and fear. The collection became an exploration into the different guises a girl develops during the process of becoming a woman, using popular children’s nursery rhyme and film characters’ costume as reference for silhouettes.
Honor Cameron excels in problem solving and creative pattern cutting. She has a keen interest in historical clothing and likes to draw design elements from period pieces. Honor aims to gather more knowledge about historical methods of clothing construction, with a view to use these alongside her love of textiles in the creation of future garments.
