INTERMISSION is an experimental label created by a 2020 graduate Jessica Bola of Ryerson University based out of Toronto, ON.

INTERMISSION pushes the idea of mental escapism through narratives. Primary themes circulate mental health exploration and sociology presented through a surrealist lens.

The label also supports a slow - fashion production model while utilizing deadstock, vegan, recycled, and locally sourced fabrics.

Undergrad collection: I CAN SEE IN THE DARK, is an exploration between mental health deterioration and temporary pleasure. Replicating feelings of captivation in relation to hedonistic tendencies and finding comfort in a destructive lifestyle.

The collection plays special attention to texture, pattern manipulation, and surface treatment/ graphics.
